Voice Over Internet Protocol is where your phone calls are sent over the internet much like an email, instead of over the copper phone lines. A Whatsapp voice call is very similar except with a VOIP account you can keep your existing landline number and you will use your phone as normal. However the phone is plugged into your router instead of the phone line.
